After the news was leaked online singer confirmed that he was working on new material quickly led to false speculation.

But his spokesperson issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly, saying: "Various media outlets recently reported that a song called Take You Down is a new track from Justin Timberlake - these reports are untrue.
